Moscow reports state that the soviet Academy of Science issued a statement attacking Professor -Hermann Muller, a leading American geneticist and formerly senior geneticist at the Moscow institute of Genetics, who has resigned from the Soviet Academy because he disapproves of the. introduction of political theories into Russian scientific work on biology. : . '—. . „ Declaring that Professor Muller has “joined the racialists and reactionaries,” the Soviet Academy statement says that the difference between Soviet sciertce and Western science is that Soviet theories serve the interests of the common people, whereas Western theories serve those of “ the exploiters.” , . ... Professor Muller, who resigned his post in Russia some time ago, is now professor of zoology at the University of Indiana.
