WAKARI COMMUNITY CENTRE
Sir,—We are concerned that your article of November 25, “ Growing Activity—Wakari Community Centre has caused considerable comment in that the statement "... the purchase of the former Roslyn Salvation Army Hall and Its re-erection at a cost of about £2500 ...” is incorrect. The facts are that the hall, which was then valued by our architect at £SOO, was generously donated by the Dunedin City Council. The cost of having the hall removed and reerected on its present site, and the necessary plumbing, electrical and renovating work carried out was £2237. My committee shall be pleased if you will publish the foregoing to clear up the misunderstandings which have arisen. —I am, etc., J. W. Bussell. Hon. Secretary, Wakari Community Centre Committee.
