It is proposed under Forest and Rural Fires Act, 1947, to constitute an area in Otago Land District, Clutha County, containing approx. 105,000 acres and bounded on west by Otago Land District boundary, on south by Catlins-Waikawa road and Tautuku River, and extending approx. 9 miles eastwards and northwards, to be known as Maclennan Rural Fire District, for protection of trees and other plants On State Forest lands situated in that area. Any person having well-grounded objections to constitution of this Fire District should submit his objections in writing to Commissioner of State Forests, Wellington, by December 6, 1948.
