FRUITERERS FINED
BREACHES OF PRICES REGULATIONS Three Chinese fruiterers were fined for breaches of the Prices Regulations by Mr J. D. Willis S.M., in the City Police Court yesterday. „ . Hong Quun, of Caversham, was fined £7 10s (costs 10s, solicitor’s fee £3 3s) for celling oranges at an excessive price; £2 10s (costs 10s, solicitor’s fee £ 2 2s) for offering parsnips for sale without displaying a price ticket; and ordered to pay court costs, 10s (solicitor’s fee £2 2s). on dach of two charges of offering pumpkins and swedes for sale without displaying price tickets. The defendant was represented by Mr F. W. Guest. Wing Sang (Mr Guest), of South Dunedin, was fined £5 (costs 10s, solicitor’s fee £3 3s) for selling Meyer lemons at an excessive price; £2 10s (costs 10s, solicitor’s fee £2 2s) on each of two charges of offering pumpkins for sale without displaying a price ticket and failing to display copies of price orders in his shop; and ordered to pay 10s costs (solicitor’s fee £2 2s) on each of two charges of offering sw r edes and carrots for sale without, displaying price tickets. For failing to display copies of price orders, G Wong (Mr J. G.' Warrington), of Mornington, was fined £2 10s (costs 13s, solicitor’s fee £3 3s). Mr J. B. Deaker represented the Price Tribunal in all three cases.
