COMPANY DIVIDENDS

PA WELLINGTON, Oct. 29. William Cable and Company’s directors have passed the following resolutions, That an interim dividend of 7 per cent, per annum be paid on ordinary shares for the half-year ended September 30. and “ That the contributing shares will participate pro rata in accordance with the amounts from time to time paid up in respect of capital on the shares during the six months ended on September 30." The Henry Jones Co-operative, Ltd., dividend is Is 6d per share- . Bycroft, Ltd., has declared an interim dividend of 4 per cent. Kclax, Ltd. —Interim dividends of 21 per cent., less social security tax, on preference shares, and of '2l per cent, on ordinary shares (old issue), are payable on November 12. ' No interim dividend is payable in respect of new issue shares, as their date of allotment almost coincided with the end of the period for which the dividend is now payable. The directors state that, in deciding to pay an interim dividend, they have had regard to the trend of trade in New Zealand,, and consider that for the time being a conservative policy is desirable. 1 Broken Hill South, Ltd.—A dividend of 4s per share is payable in Melbourne on December 22. The books close on November 9.
