DIRTY MILK CANS

INSPECTOR’S REPORT DELIVERY FROM TREATMENT CENTRE A report that milk cans ,which left the Dunedin Milk Treatment Station with their lids coated with dirty milk was brought before the Dunedin Metropolitan Milk Board last night b the senior inspector, Mr G. E. Stokes. He stated that these cans were delivered to vendors, and a complaint on their condition had been lodged with the manager of the station, Mr G. Hepburn. , , The report had been set down to be taken in committee, but Mr N. D. Anderson said that he saw no reason why it should not be presented in open meeting. This course was adopted. Mr T. McD. Fcsier, representing the Department of Agriculture, said that there had been great difficult- in maintaining an adequate supply of milk cans. If all those with rusty surfaces were rejected, there would not be enough to do the job. The old ones had to be kept, or there would be none to use. The board 1 noted the report.
