CEYLON TEA SALES
Rec. 9 p.m. COLOMBO, Oct. 21. At to-day’s Ceylon tea sales the offerings totalled 2,870,0001 b. The demand was strong for medium and high-grown teas, with brokens higher and other grades steady. There was less demand for other teas, and prices were sometimes lower. High-grown broken orange pekoes realised 200 Ceylon cents, medium liquoring broken orange pekoes 172, medium liquoring orange pekoes 165, low-medium broken orange pekoes 144, and lowmedium pekoes 148 cents per lb.
