STABBING AFFRAY

SEQUEL IN POLICE COURT

P.A. AUCKLAND, Aug. 16. A sequel to the stabbing case at Parnell on Saturday afternoon, in which three chest wounds were alleged to have been inflicted with a screwdriver, was the appearance in the Police Court to-day of Patrick Kelly, aged 68, a labourer. He was charged with assaulting Arnold Harold Garmonsway, married, and causing actual bodily harm. Mr J. F. W. Dickson appeared for Kelly. On the application of the police, the accused was remanded until August 21. “The injured man is stiff in a serious condition, said Detective Sergeant Fell. Before Kelly left the dock, he said: “ I plead not guilty.”
