ANTI-COMMUNIST CAMPAIGN AUSTRALIAN LABOUR PARTY , DECISION N.Z.P.A.—Copyright SYDNEY, Aug. 14. The Australian Labour Party has decided to intensify its campaign against the Communist Party and auxiliary bodies, including the new Housewives’ Association.
A presidential minute by Mr J. A. Ferguson, M.L.C., to the State A.L P executive on the subject was adopted unanimously, and will be circulated among all Labour Leagues and affiliated unions. A.L.P. members were warned in the minute against joining what were described as Communist undercover organisations. The minute stated that the Australian Labour Party had decided that tl • new Housewives' Association was a Communist-controlled body, and members would automatically place themselves outside the A.L.P. by continued membership of it.
