FOR THE ROYAL BABY
Choice of Colours Debated The private visit of Princess Elizabeth to the British Colour Council’s headquarters recently set people talking about the colours the Princess may choose for baby clothes. Her favourite colours are pastel shades —particularly pale lime green. She choose a green for the Colour Council this year. The tradition of blue for a boy and pink for a girl has not always been followed by the Royal Family. The Queen chose her favourite colour, pale yellow, for many of the garments Princess Elizabeth wore as a baby. Green is unusual for babies, but -it suits the Princess perfectly, and she may well choose it for her baby.
An aircraft was probably used for the first time in New Zealand on Sunday to look for a cow that had been lost. A farmer, Mr J. Wright, of Kaipaki, who is a member of the Waikato Aero Club, had missed a valuable Jersey cow. In company with Mr G. Robertson, instructor for the club, he piloted a Tiger Moth aircraft over the farm in a search for the animal. The cow was. found in a gully after a quarter of an hour’s flying.
