MINISTER INDUCTED

SOUTH DUNEDIN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH REV. D. R. ALLEN’S NEW CHARGE The induction of the Rev. D. R. •Allen, formerly of Waikaka, to the charge of the South Dunedin Presbyterian Church was carried out last night by the Presbytery of Dunedin. The moderator, the Rev. A; M. Elliife presided. *■ The occasional sermon was preached by the Rev. J. Mann, of Brighton, and the Rev. W. A. Stevely, First Church,

addressed charges to the newlymducted minister and the congregation. There was a large attendance, both of members of the congregation and the presbytery. A welcome social was accorded Mr and Mrs Allen after the service. The interim ‘ moderator of the charge, the Rev. D. B. Martin, presided and greet.ngs were extended on behalf of the oresbytery, neighbouring ministers and the different sections of the congregation. Musical items and supper orought an interesting evening to a close.
