SOVIET DISAPPROVAL
HAVANA TRADE CHARTER Rec. 10 p.m. GENEVA, Aug. 12. The United Nations Economic and Social Council gave formal approval to the International Trade Organisation Charter elaborated at Havana. The Russian and Polish delegations opposed approval. The Russian delegate said the International Trade Organisation was designed to give economically developed countries complete control of world trade.
The interim commission of the International Trade Organisation decided to establish provisional headquarters in Geneva. The executive committee of the organisation opens its second meeting in Geneva on August 25.
