NOMINATIONS RECEIVED Nominations for executive, positions in the Otago University Students’ Association for the 1948-49 term closed yesterday afternoon. There were two nominations for the position of president, four for male vice-president, and three for female vice-president. The election for these offices will be held on September 7 and the election for other executive positions will take place on September 9, Those nominated were:— President: Mr M. W. Hursthouse, Mr G. W. McGregor. A _. .. Vice-presidents: Misses A. M. Stubbs, P. Murray, K. Brown, Messrs C. I. Patterson, J. B. Fitzwilliam, C. M. Stubbs, J. D. K. North. Executive: Messrs H. D. J. LovellSmith, D. Hay, J. Williams, J. E. McCoy, C. Hill, J. D. Frankish, G. M. Winsett, K. Mackwell, D. Rea, H. Rainey, J. W. Saunders, G. Ellis, B. Anderson, and Miss A. Cameron. Mr Saunders was the only nomination for the position of business manager and Miss Cameron the only nominee as women’s sports’ representative.
