ARROWTOWN

OBITUARY The death occurred at Invercargill recently of William Shaw, of Tussock Creek, third son of the late William and Mary Shaw, Lochiel, and late of Arrowtown. Mr §haw was born at the Crown Terrace, Arrowtown, in 1887 and was- educated at the Lower Shotover School. Mr Shaw followed the farming industry and was farm manager at Maheno and Haka Valley before taking up a farm of his own at Tussock Creek. Prior to leaving Arrowtown in 1909 Mr Shaw was a prominent member of the Wakatipu Rifle Club. In 1914 he married Miss Margaret Watson, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Robert Watson, of Lochiel. He is. survived by his wife, seven sons and three daughters.
