OBITUARY

MR GEORGE FORD

Mr George Ford, who died in Dunedin last Thursday, at the age of 69. was one of the olcfest and most respected residents of the Taieri. He was born at West Taieri and spent his early years as a farm worker at Allanton After two years at Edendale, he became a farmer at Momona, and later at Bush road, Mosgiel. He was keenly interested in the Farmers’ Union and a life member of the Taieri Agricultural Society. He was an elder of the East Taieri Church, and for 28 years a member of the choir. A memorial service in the East Taieri Church was held on Sunday. Mr Ford is survived by one daughter. *
