REPUBLICAN ANTI-INFLATION BILL Rec. 9.30 p.m. WASHINGTON, Aug. 4. Republican leaders announced tonighi plans to push through Congress an Anti-inflation Bill which will place controls on credit but which ignores all the rest of President Truman s proposals to curb the high cost of living. The Bill would revive war-time restrictions on instalment buying, and authorise the Federal Reserve Board to curb the lending powers of banks by increasing reserve requirements It is expected that the Bill will be passed by the House on Thursday and rushed to the Senate. The action was disclosed after the Republican Policy Committee reaffirmed its intention ot adjourning the special session of Congress on Saturday. The stonewall against the Anti-poll Tax Bill, with which the Southern Democrats have tied up the Senate during the entire special session, continued to-day.
