Gold Mines of New Zealand.—Dredge returns for July: Arahura, 538 hours, 302,000 yards. 1098 oz; Kanieri, 526 hours, 227.000 yards, 11370 z. Electrolytic Zinc.—production statement for the five weeks ended June 30 is:— Risdon works: Zinc 7119 tons. West Coast mines: Ore treated 12,190 tons; lead concentrates 905 tons; zinc concentrates 3388 tons; copper concentrates 272 tons. Austral N.Z.—For the 28 days ended July 31 the dredge operated 454 hours, treating 307,000 yards and producing 1138 ounces of bullion.
