Sir,—ln fairness to the competitor who was placed third in the Daily Times centennial historical novel competition, 1 wish to point out that the competitor who gained second place was not eligible for ' the competition. The entry form stated very definitely that entrants must be of New Zealand birth.—l am, etc.,
