This heavy bulldozer slewed badly while endeavouring to dislodge a pine on the face of the embankment during widening operations on the North Taieri road near the Halfway Bush store. Ultimately the heavy blade had to be dismantled, and the services of a road grader requisitioned to pull it back to stable ground. The photograph shows the machine salvaging its forward equipment at the foot of the embankment.
