Warm Praise For Team’s Efforts

P-A. WELLINGTON, Aug. 3. “Regret team’s misfortunes but convey regards and appreciation of its efforts.” This was the text of a cablegram to the New Zealand Olympic Games athletic team approved by the council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association to-night. The chairman of the council, Mr H. A. Austad, spoke warmly of the efforts of the athletes in Britain.

“We learned with regret of Harris’s misfortune,” said Mr Austad, “but we feel that all the members have given of their best and for that we are grateful.”
