CLOUDY AND COOL The official weather forecast issued by the Government Meteorologist in Wellington is:— Situation. An anti-cyclone is centred north-east of the North Island, and there is a series of westerly depressions south of the Tasman Sea. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Mode-rate to fresh northerly winds, some snow on the ranges, and some scattered light rain elsewhere, but weather mainly cloudy and cool. Weather in Dunedin.—After a period of 2 hours 18 minutes of sunshine yesterday morning, the weather in Dunedin was overcast but fine for the rest of the day. There was' a north-east breeze. Temperatures were:—Maximum, 50.5 degrees; minimum, 39.5 degrees; and grass minimum, 34.4 degrees. Barometric pressure fell during the day, the midnight reading being 30.1 inches.
