Incidental Corpses
A fantastic bet to commit an overt but undetectable murder involves some crime investigators in a lot of trouble in The Right Murder, by Craig Rice (Eyre and Spottiswoode, 9s). There are several homicides in the story but only one of them is relevant to the quest although all of them seem to be probables. This is a fair example of the American “ tough ” school of thrillers.
