Active Junior Groups

During June, Junior Red Cross members from Miller’s Flat, Momona, Pine Hill, Dunback, and Lawrence Circles contributed £l7 10s to the Junior Red Cross Fund, while new woollies, warm garments, shoes, toys, and three very fine quilts were sent in by the Momona, Waipori Falls, Mlddlemarch. Benhar. and Alexandra Circles. , . „ _ . A gift of*£2s was sent from the Junior Red Cross Fund to the United Nations Children’s Appeal and £2O to the director of Junior Red Cross for the Overseas Children’s Relief Fund. From donations received, gifts of mitts, bootees, toys, and books were able to be given to patients in the children’s ward and Physiotherapy Department at the Hospital and to the Citizens’ Day Nursery. Miller’s Flat recently received a most interesting return,portfolio from Wellington School, Montreal.
