FAIR TO CLOUDY The Meteorological Office in Wellington has issued the following official weather forecast for to-day:— ' Situation.—An intense anti-cyclone centred over Otago covers New Zealand. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Winds light to moderate and variable; weather fair to cloudy near the coast, * fine inland; temperatures cold. Weather in Dunedin.—After a heavy frost, the weather was clear and sunny in Dunedin yesterday morning. During the day shr 4Bmin of sunshine were recorded. The maximum temperature was 44.6 degrees, the minimum 34 degrees, and the grass minimum 29.8 degrees. There was a breeze from the south-west. At midnight the barometer was showing a tendency to fall, the needle pointing to 30.51 inches (1033 millibars).
