SOVIET SEEKS INCLUSION PALESTINE TRUCE EFFORTS N.Z.P.A. —Copyright Rec. 11 p.m. NEW YORK, June 8. Russian military men should be included in the, observation team being formed for Palestine by the United Nations mediator, Count Folke Bernadotte, Mr Andrei Gromyko told the Security Council to-day. Press reports from Palestine s’aid that Count Bernadotte had privately.invited only the United States, Belgium, and France to provide military observers. These countries are the three council memoers of the truce commission.
Mr Gromyko said: “ Why is it these three countries alone can send military observers. We cannot acquiesce in this procedure.” After considering a report from Count Bernadotte that he would probably be able to advise by June 9 whether his truce efforts had succeeded or failed, the council, with Mr Gromyko agreeing, decided to adjourn all Palestine debate until the afternoon of June 10
