PETER'S CHOICE IN STEEPLES PA. WANGANUI. June 7. The Wanganui Jockey Club’s winter meeting was concluded to-day in fine weather before a large crowd. The track was in good winter order. The totalisator handled £67,737 10s, against £68,083, ! £?£. ing an aggregate for the meeting of £134,645 10s—an increase of £6315 over last year's £128,330 10s. A feature of the day's racing was the win of Peter's Choice In the Wanganui Centennial Steeplechase in his first start in a cross-country race. The horse had never been schooled over big jumps.
