New Broken Hill Consolidated advises that the net profit is approximately £116,000 compared w’ith £81,057 for the previous year. The directors will recommend the payment of a dividend in respect of 1947 of Is (English currency) per 5s stock unit. Broken Hill Corporation, Ltd., advises that the directors have declared a dividend of 2J per cent, on 4J per cent, redeemable and cumulative preference stock. General Motors-Holdens.—A net protit of £595,875 was earned by General Motors-Holdens, Ltd., Australia, on trading and manufacturing for the year ended December 31, 1947. This compares with net losses of £437,529 in 1946, and £68,528 for 1945. Tile directors expect the improvement to continue. No ordinary dividend is to be paid. The last distribution was 10 per cent, in 1944. It is expected that production of Australian cars will begin in the latter part of this year, and full production should be reached early in 1949.
