Lord Rea was chairman of directors of Rea, Warren and McLennan, Ltd., merchant bankers. He was MP. for North Bradford in 1923-24, Dewsbury in 1931-35, Comptroller of the Household in 1931-32,, and Chief Liberal Whip in 1931-35.
