ANNUAL ORDEAL FOR TAXPAYERS
gELDOM in this busy life does the taxpayer look more harassed and worried than at the present time when l income tax and land tax forms have to be filled in and tax on unearned income compiled and paid. All over the country people are either collecting forms from post offices, wrestling with their completion, posting them to offices of the Land and Income Tax Department, paying social security tax on unearned income, or instalments of their estimated income tax. If they are not engaged in any of these tasks, the chances are that they will be spending restless hours scheming how they can avoid disclosing their full income or they will already be wondering how they will be able to pay their tax next February. And at the branch offices of the Income Tax Department, hundreds of other people throughout the country are experiencing a busy .time opening the innumerable envelopes and s'orting the completed forms. Post office officials are also being kept busy collecting taxation payments.
