OPENING DAY

COMMUNITY SING SERIES The popular community sing series will begin in the Strand Theatre to-morrow. The proceedings will be led once again by Mr H. P. Desmoulins, with Mr A. H. Pettitt at the piano. A Maori concert party will entertain. All proceeds will be given to the United Nations Appeal for Children. Donations may be sent to Mr J. F. Himburg, Charles Begg and Co., Princes street. Mrs Mclntyre will receive gilts for the stall and a number of articles will be auctioned.
