UNITED NATIONS APPEAL

DRIVE IN ST. KILDA BOROUGH Successful efforts on behalf of the United Nations Appeal for Distressed Children have been made in the St. Kilda Borough during the last few days. About £29 was raised by a concert arranged by Mrs V. G. Pistor on Tuesday night, when the Mayor, Mr W. Rutherford, commended the residents and the performers for their enterprise. A group of school children added £9 to the appeal funds when they presented a concert In the Presbyterian Church at Musselburgh last week. Campaigns for funds are still in progress at the Musselburgh and St. Clair Schools.
