Sir. —The “ Brains Trust ’’ session last Sunday gave over the air, "Are the British nation the laziest people in the world? ” This was a, gross insult to Britain and, a profound disgrace to the so-called " cultured ” Class Of this country. They are sadly lacking in "humour’’ when they sink to such depths to obtain it. Ihe sentence was also very bad grammar. One learned person said the English were very slow workers, and the Americans: worked far quicker and got through twice as,much Work as an Englishman! Everyone knows that the quality of the article produced by an Englishman far surpasses: that>of the American, or even • of this country, and the “ Brains Trust ” should insert a letter of apology to Britain in the newspapers for .such disgraceful " humour.”—l am,'etc.,, . 1 .
