DEATH PENALTY SUSPENSION LONDON, May 24. The latest British Gallup poll result published by the News-Chronicle discloses that 66 per cent, of the people questioned disapprove of the suspension of the death penalty in Britain. Men and women opposed the suspension of hanging in almost equal numbers. A year ago, when the Gallup poll organisation in Britain put the same question 69 per cent, said the death penalty should be retained.
