AITKEN. —On May 25. 1948, at Dunedin, Mary Ann, beloved wife of the late Robert Aitken, formerly of Castle street; in her eighty-third year. "At rest.’’—The Funeral will leave our Chapel. 78 St. Andrew street, on Thursday, the 27th inst., at 3 p.m. (service at 2.45) for the Anderson’s Bay Cemetery.—Hope and Kinaston, funeral directors. ASH.—On May 25, 1948 (suddenly), at her residence, Clyde street, Balclutha, Jane (Jeannie), beloved wife of Daniel Ash. Deeply mourned.—The Funeral will leave the Chapel of Messrs Hope and Kinaston, 78 St. Andrew street, Dunedin, To-morrow (Thursday), at the conclusion of a service commencing at 2 p.m.. for the Northern Cemetery. PEARSE.—On May 22, 1948. at Auckland, Susan Martin, widow of John Fry Hitching, Moa Flat, and loved mother of Mrs C. R. Grant (Island Cliff), Mrs M. Ingles (Ruawai), Mrs L. McQueen (Auckland), J. O. Hitching (Dunsandel), and George Pearse (Auckland): in her eighty-sixth year. SCOTT.—On May 25, 1948, at the residence, Union street, Milton, Jessie Lou, loved wife of the late Alexander Scott: aged 84 years. “At rest.” No flowers.— Private interment. —J. R.
