LAST GUARD DUTY

NEW ZEALANDERS IN TOKIO Rec. 11 p.m. CHOFU, May 20. A detachment of 465 members of the 2nd N.Z.E.F. left this morning for Tokio where it will take part in a parade on Empire Day. Two hundred of the detachment will remain in Tokio on guard duties from May 25 to June 25. This will be the last occasion on which New Zealanders will supply the Tokio guard as the New Zealand force is scheduled to begin its withdrawal from Japan on June 26.
