TO APPLY UNTIL NEW AWARD

DECISION BY TRIBUNAL Industrial Correspondent WELLINGTON, May 23. The extension of the present working conditions in the New Zealand tramway industry beyond their date of expiry, in July, has been determined by the Tramways Industry Tribunal. The chairman, of the tribunal, Judge Dalglish, in a decision announced at the week-end, said that the existing tribunal decision on working conditions would have expired in July, but, it was now determined that these conditions would apply till a new award or industrial agreement was made. The tribunal had decided, that the parties would take early steps toward securing such a new av/ard or agreement.
