DULL AND COLD WITH RAIN The Meteorological Office in Wellington has issued the following weather forecast for to-day. Situation.—A deep depression is moving away to the south-east of New Zealand. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Mode-rate winds from a southerly quarter: ■weather dull and cold with occasional rain.
Weather in Dunedin. —Wet and unpleasant weather was experienced in Dunedin during the week-end. No sunshine has been recorded since Friday. On Saturday, the maximum temperature recorded was 44deg, the minimum being 37.5 deg, and the grass minimum 36deg The wind blew from the west. For the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday o.lßin of rain had fallen. Thermometer readings yesterday . were:—Maximum 48.5 deg, minimum 46deg, grass minimum 45deg. The wind was from the south. After falling slowly, the barometer steadied soon after noon yesterday and the reading at midnight was S:9.soin (999 millibars).
