WOMEN’S HOCKEY
There was no women’s hockey played in Oamaru on Saturday. The only game set down was between Pirata White and Waimate, but Waimate defaulted.
j “ The best practising socialist is the farmer,” said Mr Warren Freer, Labour member of Parliament for Mount Albert, in an address in Christchurch, As proof of that contention, he instanced the interest of the farmers in co-operative dairyfactories which he said were examples of socialism. He had been told by farmers in the south that, what they needed was a co-operative freezing works on the same principle.
