PUBLIC NOTICES QTAGO ELECTRIC POWER BOARD. PROPOSED LOAN OF £15,000. IN THE MATTER of " The Electric Power Boards Act, 1925,” “ The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1920,” “ The Local Government Loans Board Act. 1920,” and Section 15 of "The Finance (No. ?> Act. 1930.” NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the OTAGO ELECTRIC POWER BOARD proposes at its meeting to be held at Milton on TUESDAY the Bth day of JUNE, 1948, to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing of the sum of £15,000 at a rate of interest not exceeding 3.1 per cent, per annum FOR THE PURPOSE of the erection of a main 33Kv line and necessary Sub Stations from PALMERSTON to DEEP'D ELL to augment power supply to the STRATH TAIERI AREA of the inner area of the Otago Electric Power Board District (which includes portions of the Counties of Bruce,’ Clutha, Tuapeka, Maniototo Taieri, Waihemo and Waikouaiti, together with Boroughs of Naseby, Balclutha, Lawrence, Kaitangata. Waikouaiti and Palmerston) and the costs of raising the proposed said loan of £15.000. The Proposed Loan will be secured by a SPECIAL RATE of one-fifteenth of a penny (1-15 of a d) in the pound on the capital rateable value of all rateable property within the inner area of the Otago Electric Power Board District as aforesaid. , , „ It is proposed that the whole of the said loan with interest thereon shall be repaid within a period not exceeding 25 years from the date of raising the same bv a half-yearly or yearly redemption of debentures. , Anv Person having anv OBJECTION to the PROPOSED application is called upon to submit same in writing to the OTAGO ELECTRIC POWER BOARD, P.O.
