THE WEATHER
CLOUDY AND COOL The Meteorological Office in Wellington has issued the following official weather forecast for to-day:— Situation.—A complex depression covers the Eastern Tasman Sea and the North Island. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Mode-rate east winds predominating; weather cloudy, with occasional drizzle and fog near the coast; mainly fair inland. Temperatures cool. Weather in Dunedin. —Overcast conditions prevailed in the city yesterday, and the sun broke through for only six minutes. The maximum temperature was 50deg, the minimum 45.3 deg, and the grass maximum 45deg. A west breeze blew during the day. At midnight the barometer was rising, the reading being 29.71 in (IJ/16 millibars).
