PACIFIC FELLOWSHIP
OFFER TO “MISS AUCKLAND” STUDIES AT UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII P.A. WELLINGTON, May 21. Miss Mira Raharuhi Petriccvich, a welfare officer on the staff of the Department of Maori Affairs at Auckland, has accepted the offer of a Pacific fellowship in social science for the University of Hawaii recently made by the American Association of the university for women. In making this announcement, the Department of Maori Affairs says that Miss Petricevich intends to enter the graduate school of social work when the university academic year opens in a few months’ time.
Miss Petriccvich is a graduate of the University of New Zealand with a bachelors degree in arts. In the recent *‘Miss New Zealand” quest Miss Petricevich was chosen as “ Miss Auckland,” and she was one of the three Dominion finalists when “Miss New Zealand” was ultimately selected.
