While travelling along the Red Sea en route to India and New Zealand, the Union Company’s new motor-freighter Koromiko sighted a Greek schooner of about 150 tons flying a distress signal. The Koromiko altered course and made for the schooner, where Captain F. Young, her commander, was informed by the Greek master that the vessel had encountered the monsoon and had lost her l'udder. The schooner carried about eight Greeks. She was taken in tow and the Koromiko proceeded to Aden, 170 miles distant. FIT PAR
