COMPULSORY SERVICE

COMPREHENSIVE DISCUSSION P.A. WELLINGTON, May 20. The question of compulsory universal national service was discussed by a deputation to-day to the Prime Minister and other Ministers of the Crown at Parliament House. Mr G. O. Bell, president of the N.Z.R.S.A., subsequently stated that the whole matter had' been very thoroughly discussed, but he had no announcement to make at present. The deputation comprised representatives of the N.Z.R.S.A., the Home Servicemen’s Association, the ex-Navalmen’s: Association and the Air Force Association. \
