SEA AND AIR SEARCH OFF AUSTRALIAN COAST

YACHT RANGI TAKES PART

Rec. 9 P.m. SYDNEY, May 19. The New Zealand yacht Rangi, which is taking part in a search for two launches with 11 people on board which have been missing since Saturday has reported that she has sighted nothing. The skipper, Mr Mark Anthony, said the Rangi was being badly buffeted by heavy weather. Four planes, including one specially chartered by the oVner of one launch, joined a number \' surface craft in the search to-day, ' e planes included two P A A F Cata’ \ a and one Beaufort of the Air Sea Aescue Squadron The Rangi was previously reported to have left Sydney on her return voyage to Auckland. She was a competitor in the recent Tasman yacht race and was missing for several days in heavy seas.
