ADVENTIST MISSIONARIES

CHRISTCHURCH, May 19. Altogether 545 missionaries were sent out by the Seventh-day Adventist Church during 1947. This is an alltime record. Sixty-five of these missionaries went from New Zealand and Australia. The Church’s previous record number of missionary sailings was 501 in 1946. Adventists are now conducting medical, educational and evangelistic mission work in 226 countries and island groups, as noted in the British Statesman’s Year Book, announced the president of the South New Zealand Conference, Pastor A. R. Mitchell, in Christchurch to-day.
