HIGH NATIONAL VALUE

PRODUCTION OF LINSEED P.A. WELLINGTON, May 19. On the basis of current values, the growing in New Zealand of sufficient linseed to provide the Dominion’s total requirements of linseed oil and stock foods will save a minimum of £1,000,000 of overseas funds annually, of which a considerable proportion today represents dollar expenditure. This submission was made to the Price Tribunal yesterday by counsel for Dominion Industries, Ltd., which sought permission to increase the selling price of linseed oil produced by the company from 15s a gallon to 17s 4d a gallon f.o.b. main ports. The tribunal reserved its decision.
