Gift of £IOOO for Medical Research The University of Otago has been the recipient of yet another generous gift, this time from an anonymous donor. At yesterday’s meeting of the University Council acknowledgment was made by the chancellor, the Very Rev. Dr D. C. Herron, of a gift of £IOOO. He expressed the deep appreciation of the council. The entire sum will, at the request of the donor, be devoted to medical research work. The sum of £2OO was also received from the trustees of the Dunedin Savings Bank, the money to be placed in the scholarship fund. Dr Herron expressed thanks for this further gift.
