DONAGHY’S ROPE AND TWINE
ANNUAL REPORT The report of Donaghy’s Rope and Twine Company, Ltd., to be presented at the annual meeting on May 31, states that the net profits amount to £13,249 4s Bd, which, with a carry-forward of £8872 10s lOd, less interim dividend of £4687 10s, makes £17,434 5s Gd available for distribution. The directors recommend a final dividend of Is 3d a share on shares numbered one to 125,000 inclusive, being the paid-up capital prior to the 1948 share issue, absorbing £7812 10s, and leaving £9621 15s Gd to be carried forward. The directors also recommend the payment of a special bonus of Is a share on shares numbered one to 125,000, such payment to be made from a dividend declared by the subsidiary company out of profits accumulated over some years, amounting to £6250. Depreciation amounting to £13,500 has been written off buildings and plant.
