Lottery Winner Decides to Take A Long Holiday

P.A. TIMARTJ, May 17. The winner of the first prize of £ 10,000 in a recent overseas lottery was Robert Watson, of Temuka. When Interviewed yesterday, Watson was undecided as to what he would do with the money but was emphatic that he would take a long holiday from work. The ticket was bought in Temuka under the nom-de-plume “ The Diver,” a well-known Australian racehorse a few years ago/ Mr Watson, who has been a regular buyer of tickets, was employed until recently by the Public Works Department but when the camp was removed to Sockburn a few weeks ago he decided to remain in his home town.
