14. On the application of Detective Sergeant G. E. Callaghan, the magistrate remanded the accused to appear in Christchurch on May 24. Mr G. I. Joseph appeared for Stuck. Stuck was arrested by Chief Detective Compton on board the interisland steamer Hinemoa yesterday morning as the ship was coming in to berth at Wellington. The police launch intercepted the ship in the harbour. ■
